Authorize.Net Weblink

Authorize.Net WebLink is a secure online payment-processing
system that allows Internet-based businesses to authorize, process and manage
credit card transactions directly from their Web site. There are no worries
about the complicated software, hardware and expertise normally associated with
enabling e-commerce.
WebLink works in one of two ways: It either
captures the necessary customer information (name, credit card number, etc.)
from a merchant's own secure transaction page, or it displays a customizable
transaction page hosted on an Authorize.Net secure server, for the customer to
fill out.
The customer's information is encrypted using 40- or 128-bit
Secure Socket Layer technology and sent to an Authorize.Net transaction server.
The server sends the data through the authorization network to the appropriate
card issuer's bank, using a secure, proprietary connection. When the
authorization process is complete -- this takes around five seconds -- the
customer receives an approval or decline response and the Authorize.Net server
stores the transaction. Transactions are automatically settled each day and are
funded within two to three business days.
Merchants can check the status
of transactions or run reports on past activity by going to the Authorize.Net
Web site and logging on to their own password-protected Authorize.Net site. And
online businesses can use the Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal to enter payment
information manually if customers prefer to call in their credit card
information.
Linking a merchant's Web site to the Authorize.Net WebLink
system is simple. The merchant's Web site designer or developer simply inserts
a few lines of HTML code (which we provide) onto the transaction page.
Authorize.Net supports most available shopping cart software , so it integrates
easily with most e-commerce solutions.
Below is an example of the basic
code that must be implemented to link to WebLink:
<form action=3D"https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll">
<input type=3D"hidden" name=3D"x_login" value=3D"MyLoginID">
<input type=3D"hidden" name=3D"x_version" value=3D"3.0">
<input type=3D"hidden" name=3D"x_show_form" value=3D"payment_form">
<input type=3D"hidden" name=3D"x_amount" value=3D"1.00">
<input type=3D"submit" value=3D"Click Here to Continue">
</form>

- Consumer places an order with the merchant through any
number of sales channels: Web Site, Call Center, Retail, Wireless or Broadband.
- Authorize.Net detects an order has been placed,
securely encrypts and forwards the Authorization Request to the Consumer's
Credit Card Issuer to verify the consumer's credit card account and funds
availability.
- The Authorization (or Decline) Response is returned via
Authorize.Net to the Merchant. Round trip this process averages less than 3
seconds.
- Upon approval, the Merchant fulfills the consumer's
order.
- Authorize.Net sends the settlement request to the
Merchant Account Provider.
- The Merchant Account Provider deposits transaction
funds into the Merchant's Checking Account.
Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal

The
Authorize.Net Virtual Terminal is a secure, browser-based interface that
enables businesses to authorize, process and manage credit card transactions
from any computer that has an Internet connection and a Web browser. Virtual
Terminal replaces standard authorization terminals or software, and provides
the best solution for merchants who manually enter credit card transactions for
mail or phone order sales.
Virtual Terminal suits businesses of all
sizes because it reduces the complexity and expense normally associated with
authorizing and processing credit card transactions. It's also much faster than
standard dial-up authorization systems.
Businesses with an Authorize.Net
account simply access the Virtual Terminal through our Web site using any Web
browser. After logging into their Authorize.Net account using a unique user ID
and a password, merchants can access the complete range of Authorize.Net
services -- authorizations for purchases, credits and returns, status and
activity reports, and much more.
To authorize credit card transactions,
the merchant completes an electronic form that provides the Authorize.Net
system with the information it needs to complete the transaction. This
information is encrypted using the latest 40 or 128-bit Secure Socket Layer
(SSL) 3.0 technology and is sent to an Authorize.Net host server. The server
then sends the data through the authorization network to the appropriate card
issuer's bank using a secure, proprietary connection. When the process is
complete -- this takes around three seconds -- the merchant receives an
authorization number, and the Authorize.Net server stores the transaction.
Transactions are automatically settled each day and are funded within two to
three business days.
Merchants can also check the status of transactions
and run a variety of reports right from the Authorize.Net On-line
Interface.
Authorize.Net's eCheck.Net is a payment solution that enables
online and traditional merchants to accept and process electronic check
payments directly from their Web site's storefront or through the
Authorize.NetT Virtual Terminal. By accepting electronic checks, merchants are
able to expand the payment options available to their customers and potentially
increase their sales.
With eCheck.Net, customers pay for products or
services with an electronic check by selecting the electronic check option and
entering the requested bank account information. eCheck.Net encrypts the data
using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 encryption technology, and transmits it to
the secure Authorize.Net transaction server for posting. At settlement time,
the Authorize.Net system initiates a debit to the consumer's checking account
via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) and then transfers collected funds to
the merchant's account. The eCheck.Net system notifies merchants of failed
debit attempts, including "Not Sufficient Funds" returns.

eCheck.Net is an ideal solution for businesses
that periodically bill their customers or do not have a commerce-enabled
website. Health clubs, tanning salons, subscription services, ISPs, membership
companies and health care practitioners are all examples of the types of
businesses that would benefit from the eCheck.Net service.
Benefits of
the eCheck.Net service:
- Acceptance of electronic check transactions can reduce
payment processing costs to merchants.
- Merchants can easily expand the payment options
available to their customers at the point of sale which could potentially
increase overall sales.
- All eCheck.Net transactions are automatically settled
each day.
