[ main menu ] The Hostahoy Shopping Cart allows for online "wizard" type configuration that is both simple and fast, offline configuration* so advanced users can create large databases of similar products quickly, and shell mode configuration* for users with existing databases of many products. This page covers online configuration only. Before a store can be configured it must first be set up by the script owner or administrator (see Store setup). After your store is set up by the administrator, you will be able to access your both your store and your administration area. To Access Your Store The Hostahoy Shopping Cart script creates your store on the fly from the various databases and preference files you create. Your store is accessed by calling the URL of the script with a variable that includes your store username. Your username is your Hostahoy username. The variable is usernameSTORE:home So the complete URL would be http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/cart/cart.cgi?usernameSTORE:home You can call this URL from anywhere on the Internet. It is suggested that you link to your store from a home page that you customize. To simplify things, a basic entry page to your store has been created for you at: http://www.yourdomain.com/stores/username To Access Your Administration Area Your User Administration Area is in a password protected directory. You must enter your valid username and password to gain access. This is the same username and password as your Hostahoy server. The administration area is located at: http://www.yourdomain.com/stores/username/admin Once inside, you can click on the links to the various setup wizards that will guide you through your store configuration.
